Peterborough Virtual Christmas Light Switch On 2020

As you may be aware, this year's Peterborough's Christmas Lights switch-on will be virtual to ensure coronavirus guidelines are met.

To get residents of Peterborough into the festive spirit a wide range of local people, groups, businesses and children, have taken part in a Christmas song montage where they each sing a line of a Christmas song.  Some of the Year 4 students at Discovery Primary Academy were selected to sing a section of the montage.

The  Peterborough Virtual Christmas Light Switch On has already been filmed, and will be streamed tonight, 2nd December 2020, starting at 7pm. The switch on will be hosted by Kev Lawrence, presenter for Peterborough City Radio FM and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, and will feature special appearances from other Peterborough residents. Father Christmas has kindly taken time out of his busy festive preparations to give a message to the city.
